The Organising Committee of the Logicom Cyprus Marathon is thrilled to announce an exciting update for the 2025 event. The 5km Fun Run will now take place on Saturday afternoon at 16:00, and is rebranded as the 5km Sunset Run. This change aims to enhance the overall experience with a vibrant new atmosphere!
As participation in the Logicom Cyprus Marathon continues to grow, the decision to move the 5km run to Saturday afternoon was driven by the need to accommodate the increasing number of runners and to ensure a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone involved. By shifting the 5km run to its dedicated time slot, we are able to offer participants more space and comfort, and better yet, to create an unforgettable scenic event with unique features.
Why Saturday Afternoon?
- More Space, More Runners: The new timing opens up additional capacity, allowing more people to join the fun. Participants can look forward to a more relaxed and spacious environment, enhancing their running experience.
- A Magical Experience: Running at sunset adds a magical element to the race. Participants will enjoy the scenic beauty of Paphos as the sun sets, creating picturesque moments and a memorable backdrop.
- Energetic Atmosphere: The 5km Sunset Run will feature live DJ music, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere along with free fluids at the finish line.
- More inclusion and options: Runners planning to participate in the other 3 races (Marathon, Half-Marathon & 10km Race) now have the opportunity to also participate in the 5km Sunset Run and vice versa. Two medals in two days sounds like a great deal!
